Here is what the manual says on page 163:

  • set up an "album" within Canon Image Gateway settings, and opted for transmission to that albumĪfter having done all this I expected to find something on the camera that will let me transmit all untransferred photos/videos to the image gateway, but nothing that I have tried so far has worked.

I often transfer files by wifi directly to a win 10 PC, yet it can work for weeks then suddenly stops working completely (PC not found), and you have to set it up from scratch again.I have been trying to figure how to transfer all untransferred photos/videos to the cloud from my G1X Mark II. Strangely you see the option to provide CIG login only at this icon, and not from software that you can start from the collection of applications accessible from Windows Start. Enter your CIG login details from one of the menu options at the icon.

  • And here is the step that I missed because I do not see it documented anywhere: from the Windows bar collection of tools at the bottom right, locate the icon for CameraWindow (looks like an open laptop).
  • Insatall CameraWindow on your Windows machine.
  • Also at CIG, change the settings appropriately within "ImageSync".
  • Set up online services settings on CIG where you want your pictures/videos to go.
  • Set up an account at Canon Image Gateway.
  • You have to do several things to accomplish an automated sync from your camera to your computer and optionally online storage (Facebook/Twitter/Youtube/Flickr/Google Drive) I was able to sort this out after talking to Canon. I am able to transfer all untransferred images to my Windows machine through CameraWindow, but I would like to be able to transfer them directly to the cloud.
